I am a Certified Functional Nutrition Counselor, Certified Corporate Wellness Specialist, and ISSA-certified personal trainer. For nearly a decade I ran MAX-40 Fitness, a BBB-accredited business where I coached hundreds of women through midlife directly. I do not teach this work as an abstract concept. I have sat across from real women, worked through the hard questions with them, and watched them change. That is what I bring to this retreat.
I lost my father at 49 and my mother at 61, both from preventable lifestyle and nutrition causes. That loss became my north star. I also spent 19 years in California city government as City Clerk, Project Manager, and Grant Administrator, overseeing $22 million in public funding. I bring that same structure and accountability to everything I build, including this experience.

About the Pilot
Yes. This is Shanae's first retreat format, but she has spent nearly a decade coaching women through similar transformational work. The content, expertise, and curriculum are proven. The retreat is a new delivery vehicle for work she already does exceptionally well. In fact, being a pilot gives you something valuable: Shanae's full, focused attention in an intimate group of ten women, with curriculum built to be responsive rather than rigid.
We have planned extensively. We are also flexible. If an activity needs adjusting, we adjust. If timing shifts, we shift. The goal is for you to have a meaningful experience, not for us to rigidly execute a schedule that is not serving the group.
Age and Fit
Absolutely. This retreat serves women from their 40s through their 70s. Whether you are in perimenopause, active menopause, or the post-menopausal years, this experience addresses the challenges and opportunities of your current season. Energy restoration, identity questions, nervous system health, community, and moving your body with intention are all relevant regardless of where you are in the midlife journey. You also bring something the younger women in the room cannot: perspective and lived wisdom. That matters to the group.
Yes, and often in the most meaningful ways. Younger women see what is ahead and gain encouragement from older women who are thriving. Older women witness women just entering the transition and reconnect with their own journey. The age range deepens everyone's understanding and creates a richness that homogenous groups rarely find.
No. All movement sessions are fully adaptable. Modifications are offered for every exercise and activity. You are not being judged on fitness level. You are being guided to move in a way that feels good for your body right now. If you have specific mobility needs, let us know when you register and we will plan accordingly.
Logistics
Check-in begins at 4:00 PM on Friday, October 9. Please plan to arrive by 5:00 PM. If you are arriving earlier or later, let us know in advance. The retreat concludes at 1:30 PM on Sunday, October 11, giving you time to depart comfortably before Sunday traffic.
Comfortable and casual clothing including layers for cool evenings. Movement clothes (leggings, t-shirt, supportive shoes). Undergarments, socks, and sleepwear. Toiletries. Any medications in original labeled bottles. A journal or notebook (optional but worthwhile). A water bottle. Phone charger. Sunscreen. Swimsuit if you want pool time in the mornings.
You do not need to bring towels or linens (provided), workout equipment (provided), or food (all meals are included).
We accommodate all dietary preferences and restrictions: gluten-free, dairy-free, vegan, vegetarian, nut allergies, low-FODMAP, and others. When you register, you will specify your dietary needs in detail. Let us know everything so we can serve you well.

After the Retreat
Yes. All attendees remain connected in a private community after the retreat. You will have ongoing connection with other attendees, access to recorded sessions for reference, occasional group check-ins, and updates from Oasis. Many women develop lasting friendships and accountability partnerships from their retreat cohort.
Yes, and many women use the retreat as a catalyst. The cohort is where you deepen everything into sustainable habits. Special pricing is available for retreat attendees who enroll in the cohort within 30 days of returning home.
Cancellation and Payment
Cancellations 90 or more days before the retreat: full refund minus a $50 administrative fee.
Cancellations 60–89 days before: 75% refund.
Cancellations 30–59 days before: 50% refund.
Cancellations fewer than 30 days before: no refund. You may transfer your spot to another woman at no cost. Just let us know and provide the new attendee's contact information.
